સુઝુકી મોટર કોર્પોરેશનના ભૂતપૂર્વ ચેરમેન ઓસામુ સુઝુકીનું 94 વર્ષની વયે અવસાન થયું છે.

મીડિયા રિપોર્ટ મુજબ તેઓ લિમ્ફોમા નામની બીમારીથી પીડિત હતા.

1958માં તેમણે સુઝુકી પરિવારની પુત્રી શોકો સુઝુકી સાથે લગ્ન કર્યા અને તેમની (પત્નીની) અટક લીધી. તે જ વર્ષે તે સુઝુકીમાં પણ જોડાયા.

તેઓ બે વખત કંપનીના ચેરમેન બન્યા. તેઓ સૌથી લાંબા સમય સુધી આ પદ સંભાળનાર વ્યક્તિ છે.

સુઝુકીના સમગ્ર વિશ્વમાં વિસ્તરણનો શ્રેય ઓસામુને આપવામાં આવે છે. તેમના પ્રયાસોને કારણે જ સુઝુકીની નાની કાર અને મોટરસાઈકલને દુનિયાભરમાં એક અલગ ઓળખ મળી.
