અવનીએ અંતિમ રાઉન્ડમાં 249.7નો સ્કોર કરીને ગોલ્ડ મેડલ જીત્યો છે. તેમના સિવાય ભારતની મોના અગ્રવાલે પણ બ્રોન્ઝ મેડલ જીતીને ઈતિહાસ રચ્યો છે.

અવનીની આ જીત એટલા માટે પણ ઐતિહાસિક છે કારણ કે તેણે નવો પેરાલિમ્પિક રેકોર્ડ બનાવ્યો છે.

પેરિસ પેરાલિમ્પિક્સમાં અવનીએ 249.7નો સ્કોર કરીને પોતાનો જ રેકોર્ડ સુધારીને ઐતિહાસિક સિદ્ધિ મેળવી છે.
