Waqf law Protest: Waqf (વકફ) કાયદા (Law) વિરુદ્ધ હિંસા
Text: શુક્રવારે (11 એપ્રિલ, 2025) મુર્શિદાબાદમાં વકફ કાયદા (Waqf Amendment Act) વિરુદ્ધ પ્રદર્શન હિંસક બની ગયું. પ્રદર્શનકારીઓએ પોલીસકર્મીઓ પર પથ્થરમારો કર્યો અને અનેક વાહનોમાં આગ લગાવી. તેમણે માર્ગ-રેલ યાતાયાતને પણ અવરોધિત કરી. ભીડને કાબૂમાં લેતી વખતે લગભગ 10 પોલીસકર્મીઓ ઘાયલ થયા. જોકે, પોલીસનું કહેવું છે કે હવે સ્થિતિ કાબૂમાં છે.
Waqf law Protest : સુતી અને શમશેરગંજમાં સ્થિતિ સામાન્ય
બંગાળ પોલીસએ એક્સ પર જણાવ્યું કે સુતી અને શમશેરગંજ વિસ્તારોમાં સ્થિતિ સામાન્ય થઈ ગઈ છે. પોલીસએ ભીડને વિખેરી દીધી છે અને નેશનલ હાઈવે પર વાહન વ્યવહાર પુનઃસ્થાપિત થઈ ગયો છે. પોલીસએ કહ્યું કે હિંસા કરનારાઓ સામે કડક કાર્યવાહી કરવામાં આવશે. ઉપદ્રવીઓને પકડવા માટે કાર્યવાહી કરવામાં આવી રહી છે. સાથે જ, અફવા ફેલાવનારાઓ પર પણ કાનૂની કાર્યવાહી કરવામાં આવશે. પોલીસએ લોકોને શાંતિ જાળવવા અને અફવાઓ પર ધ્યાન ન આપવાની અપીલ કરી છે.

અસમના મુખ્યમંત્રી હિમંત બિસ્વા સર્માએ એક્સ પર લખ્યું કે અસમમાં, જ્યાં મુસ્લિમ વસ્તી લગભગ 40% છે, વકફ કાયદા (Waqf Law) વિરુદ્ધ પ્રદર્શન શાંતિપૂર્ણ રહ્યા. ત્યાં પોલીસની પહેલેથી તૈયારી હતી, તેથી સ્થિતિ નિયંત્રણમાં રહી. તેમણે કહ્યું કે અસમમાં બધા સમુદાય બોહાગ બિહુની તૈયારીમાં વ્યસ્ત છે.
