Gopal Krishna Gokhale : 1866 માં આ દિવસે જન્મેલા, ગોપાલ કૃષ્ણ ગોખલે ભારતીય સ્વતંત્રતા ચળવળ દરમિયાન ભારતીય ‘મધ્યમ’ રાજકીય નેતા અને સામાજિક સુધારક હતા. ગોખલે ભારતીય રાષ્ટ્રીય કોંગ્રેસના ( Indian National Congress ) વરિષ્ઠ નેતા અને સર્વન્ટ્સ ઓફ ઈન્ડિયા સોસાયટીના સ્થાપક હતા
