Nepal earthquake:
- આજે વહેલી સવારે બિહાર અને નેપાળમાં ઘણી જગ્યાએ ભૂકંપના આંચકા અનુભવાયા છે.
- મીડિયા રિપોર્ટ મુજબ નેપાળમાં 2:36 વાગ્યે આવેલા આ ભૂકંપની તીવ્રતા 5.5 હતી.
- આ ઉપરાંત પાકિસ્તાનમાં પણ ધરતી હચમચી ગઈ છે. ત્યાં તેની તીવ્રતા 4.5 માપવામાં આવી હતી.
- હાલમાં ત્રણેય સ્થળોએ કોઈ નુકસાનના સમાચાર નથી.
- ગયા મહિને પણ બિહારથી નેપાળ સુધી ભૂકંપના આંચકા અનુભવાયા હતા. તેની તીવ્રતા 7.1 માપવામાં આવી હતી.
- ભૂકંપ નેપાળના લોબુચેથી 84 કિમી ઉત્તર-ઉત્તરપશ્ચિમમાં 10 કિમી ઊંડાઈ સાથે આવ્યો હતો. નેપાળમાં ભૂકંપ સામાન્ય છે. નેપાળ વિશ્વના તે ખતરનાક ક્ષેત્રમાં છે, જેને સૌથી સક્રિય ટેક્ટોનિક ઝોન કહેવામાં આવે છે.
