ટ્રમ્પની આ જાહેરાત બાદ ઉત્તર અમેરિકાના વેપાર યુદ્ધનો ભય ફરી વધી ગયો છે.

ટ્રમ્પે કહ્યું કે ટેરિફ ફેન્ટાનાઇલની હેરફેર સામે લડવા અને અમેરિકાના બંને પડોશી દેશોમાં ગેરકાયદેસર ઇમિગ્રેશનને રોકવા માટે છે.

જોકે, કેનેડાના અર્થશાસ્ત્રીઓ અને લોકોએ ટ્રમ્પના નિર્ણય પર નારાજગી વ્યક્ત કરી છે અને તેને ગાંડપણ ગણાવ્યું છે.
