The Bengal Files Controversy: વિવેક અગ્નિહોત્રી ની આગામી ફિલ્મ ‘ધ બંગાળ ફાઇલ્સ’ રિલીઝ પહેલા જ વિવાદમાં ઘેરાઈ ગઈ છે. કોલકાતામાં ટ્રેલર લોન્ચ દરમિયાન થયેલા હંગામા બાદ મિથુન ચક્રવર્તી એ આ મામલે પ્રતિક્રિયા આપી છે. મીડિયા સાથે વાતચીતમાં તેમણે કહ્યું કે, “આ બધું પહેલેથી નક્કી કરેલું હતું. લોકો ફિલ્મ જોયા વગર વિરોધ કેમ કરે છે? શું તેઓ સત્યનો સામનો કરવા તૈયાર નથી?”

FIR પર મિથુનનો જવાબ: “બંગાળમાં FIR તો સામાન્ય છે”
ફિલ્મના નિર્માતાઓ સામે રાજકીય પક્ષોએ FIR દાખલ કરી છે. આ અંગે મિથુન ચક્રવર્તીએ કહ્યું કે, “બંગાળમાં FIR તો મમરા ની જેમ વહેંચાય છે. જો TMCનો કોઈ પોલીસ સ્ટેશનમાં જાય તો FIR થઈ જાય. જો FIR થઈ છે તો વિવેક અગ્નિહોત્રી તેનો વિરોધ કરશે. એમાં કોઈ મોટી વાત નથી.”મિથુનએ કહ્યું કે, “દરેક વ્યક્તિ સત્યથી ડરે છે. આ 1947ની વાત છે, મારા જન્મ પહેલા ની. આપણે જાણતા નથી કે નોઆખાલી (Noakhali)માં શું થયું હતું કે કલકત્તાના મોટા હત્યાકાંડમાં શું થયું હતું. શું આપણે માત્ર એક લાઇન વાંચીને સમજી લઈએ? શું આપણે સત્ય જાણવા નથી ઈચ્છતા?”
