Sudipto Sen Slams Filmfare Award: ફિલ્મ ‘ધ કેરળ સ્ટોરી’ ના દિગ્દર્શક સુદિપ્તો સેન એ 70મા ફિલ્મફેર એવોર્ડ્સ માં ‘લાપતા લેડીઝ’ ને મળેલા એવોર્ડ્સ પર સવાલ ઉઠાવ્યા છે. તેમણે સોશિયલ મીડિયા પર લખ્યું કે “ચોરીની કહાની, હિંસા શીખવતી ફિલ્મ અને બોક્સ ઓફિસ પર ત્રણ દિવસ પણ ન ટકી શકેલી ફિલ્મોને એવોર્ડ મળ્યા – આ સિનેમા નથી, તમાશો છે.”

સુદિપ્તોએ કહ્યું કે “ફિલ્મફેર જેવી સંસ્થાઓ ગ્લેમર અને સ્ટાર પાવર સામે નમન કરે છે, સિનેમાની કળા સામે નહીં.” તેમણે ઉમેર્યું કે “મને ખુશી છે કે અમે આ તમાશા નો ભાગ નથી.” પોસ્ટમાં તેમણે લખ્યું કે “અમે એવાં ઇવેન્ટ્સથી દૂર છીએ જ્યાં લોકો ફક્ત ફોટા માટે હસે છે. નકલી ગ્લેમરથી દૂર રહેવું એ શાંતિ આપે છે.”
