જસ્ટિસ ખન્ના છ મહિના માટે CJIનો ચાર્જ સંભાળશે. જસ્ટિસ સંજીવ ખન્ના દેશના બીજા સૌથી વરિષ્ઠ જજ છે.

જસ્ટિસ ખન્નાનો કાર્યકાળ 13 મે, 2025 સુધી રહેશે. તેઓ ચૂંટણી બોન્ડ યોજનાને સમાપ્ત કરવા અને કલમ 370 નાબૂદ કરવા જેવા ઘણા ઐતિહાસિક નિર્ણયોનો ભાગ રહ્યા છે.
