Manmohan Singh Death News :ભારતના ભૂતપૂર્વ વડા પ્રધાન ડૉ. મનમોહન સિંહનું ગુરુવારે (26 ડિસેમ્બર) 92 વર્ષની વયે અવસાન થયું. તેઓ વય સંબંધિત બીમારીઓથી પીડિત હતા. ભૂતપૂર્વ વડા પ્રધાનના નિધનના સંદર્ભમાં, દિલ્હી સ્થિત ઓલ ઈન્ડિયા ઈન્સ્ટિટ્યુટ ઑફ મેડિકલ સાયન્સ (AIIMS) એ એક પ્રેસ રિલીઝ બહાર પાડી, જેમાં લખ્યું હતું કે, “અત્યંત દુઃખ સાથે અમે ભારતના ભૂતપૂર્વ વડા પ્રધાન ડૉ. મનમોહન સિંહના નિધનની જાહેરાત કરીએ છીએ.
રાષ્ટ્રપતિ, ઉપરાષ્ટ્રપતિ અને વડાપ્રધાનથી લઈને દેશના ઘણા મોટા નેતાઓ અને હસ્તીઓએ પૂર્વ પીએમના નિધન પર શોક વ્યક્ત કર્યો છે. ભારત સરકારે આજે (27 ડિસેમ્બર) માટે નિર્ધારિત તમામ કાર્યક્રમો રદ કર્યા છે અને 7 દિવસનો રાષ્ટ્રીય શોક જાહેર કર્યો છે. ડૉ. મનમોહન સિંહના અંતિમ સંસ્કાર સંપૂર્ણ રાજ્ય સન્માન સાથે કરવામાં આવશે. શનિવારે (28 ડિસેમ્બર) તેમના અંતિમ સંસ્કાર થવાની ધારણા છે.

જણાવી દઈએ કે મનમોહન સિંહનો જન્મ 1932માં પંજાબમાં થયો હતો. તેઓ 2004 થી 2014 સુધી સતત બે ટર્મ માટે ભારતના વડાપ્રધાન હતા. અટલ બિહારી વાજપેયીની આગેવાની હેઠળની NDA સામે 2004ની લોકસભા ચૂંટણીમાં કોંગ્રેસની જીત બાદ 2004માં તેમણે પ્રથમ વખત PM તરીકે શપથ લીધા હતા. તેમણે 2009 થી 2014 સુધી તેમનો બીજો કાર્યકાળ સંભાળ્યો. જે બાદ 2014માં પીએમ નરેન્દ્ર મોદીએ તેમની જગ્યા લીધી હતી. તેઓ 33 વર્ષ સુધી સેવા આપ્યા બાદ આ વર્ષની શરૂઆતમાં રાજ્યસભામાંથી નિવૃત્ત થયા હતા.
