MP Salary Hike:

કેન્દ્ર સરકારે સાંસદોના પગાર અને ભથ્થામાં વધારો કર્યો છે. આ સાથે, ભૂતપૂર્વ સાંસદોના પેન્શનમાં પણ વધારો કરવામાં આવ્યો છે.

હવે સાંસદોને દર મહિને 1,24,000 રૂપિયા મળશે, જે પહેલા 1 લાખ રૂપિયા હતા. આ વધારો ફક્ત 1 એપ્રિલથી અમલમાં આવશે.

આ ઉપરાંત સાંસદોનો દૈનિક ભથ્થો પણ 2000 રૂપિયાથી વધારીને 2500 રૂપિયા કરવામાં આવ્યો છે.

પૂર્વ સાંસદોનું પેન્શન 25 હજાર રૂપિયાથી વધારીને 31 હજાર રૂપિયા પ્રતિ માસ કરવામાં આવ્યું છે.

આ વધારો સંસદ સભ્યોના પગાર, ભથ્થાં અને પેન્શન અધિનિયમ, 1954 દ્વારા આપવામાં આવેલી સત્તાઓ હેઠળ કરવામાં આવ્યો છે. આ આવકવેરા કાયદા, 1961માં ઉલ્લેખિત ખર્ચ ફુગાવાના સૂચકાંક પર આધારિત છે.
