“ડૉ. પૃથ્વીન્દ્ર મુખર્જી બહુમુખી વ્યક્તિત્વ હતા, તેમણે બૌદ્ધિક જગતમાં મજબૂત છાપ છોડી હતી. તેમને સંગીત અને કવિતા પ્રત્યે પણ લગાવ હતો. તેમની રચનાઓ અને કમ્પોઝિશન્સ આવનારા વર્ષો સુધી વખણાતા રહેશે. ભારતના ઈતિહાસને સાચવવા, ખાસ કરીને સ્વતંત્રતા સંગ્રામ દરમિયાન અને ભારત-ફ્રાન્સ સંબંધોને વધુ ગાઢ બનાવવાના તેમના પ્રયાસો પણ એટલા જ નોંધપાત્ર હતા. તેમના નિધનથી દુઃખી. તેમના પરિવાર અને મિત્રો પ્રત્યે સંવેદના. ઓમ શાંતિ.”
