PM Narendra Modi: સૂર્યવંશી ભગવાન શ્રી રામની પ્રાણ પ્રતિષ્ઠાના શુભ અવસર પર અયોધ્યાની તેમની મુલાકાત પછી તરત જ, પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ લોક કલ્યાણ માર્ગ ખાતેના તેમના નિવાસસ્થાને 1 કરોડ ઘરો પર રૂફટોપ સોલર ( Rooftop Solar ) લગાવવાના લક્ષ્ય સાથે “પ્રધાનમંત્રી સૂર્યોદય યોજના” ( Pradhan Mantri Suryodaya Yojana ) શરૂ કરવા માટે એક બેઠકની અધ્યક્ષતા કરી હતી.
બેઠક દરમિયાન પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ જણાવ્યું હતું કે સૂર્યની શક્તિનો ઉપયોગ દરેક ઘરને છત વડે તેમના વીજળીના બીલને ( electricity bills ) ઘટાડવા અને તેમને તેમની વીજળીની જરૂરિયાતો માટે સાચા અર્થમાં આત્મનિર્ભર બનાવવા માટે કરી શકાય છે.

પ્રધાનમંત્રી સૂર્યોદય યોજનાનો ઉદ્દેશ્ય ઓછી અને મધ્યમ આવક ધરાવતા વ્યક્તિઓને સોલર રૂફટોપ ઇન્સ્ટોલેશન ( Solar Rooftop Installation ) દ્વારા વીજળી પૂરી પાડવાની સાથે વધારાની વીજળી ઉત્પાદન માટે વધારાની આવકની ઓફર કરવાનો છે.
