બોર્ડર-ગાવસ્કર ટ્રોફી 2025 વચ્ચે ટીમ ઈન્ડિયાના અનુભવી ઓફ-સ્પિનર રવિચંદ્રન અશ્વિને આંતરરાષ્ટ્રીય ક્રિકેટમાંથી નિવૃત્તિની જાહેરાત કરી છે.

ઓસ્ટ્રેલિયા સામે ચાલી રહેલી પાંચ મેચોની ટેસ્ટ શ્રેણીની બીજી મેચમાં અશ્વિનને તક મળી હતી, પરંતુ તે સારું પ્રદર્શન કરી શક્યો નહોતો.

અશ્વિનની નિવૃત્તિની જાહેરાત તે જ સમયે કરવામાં આવી જ્યારે તે ડ્રેસિંગ રૂમમાં ભાવુક દેખાતો હતો અને વિરાટ કોહલીએ તેને ગળે લગાવ્યો હતો, પરંતુ તેની સત્તાવાર જાહેરાત મેચ પછી કરવામાં આવી હતી.
