કેનેડાના વડાપ્રધાન જસ્ટિન ટ્રુડોએ રાજીનામું આપી દીધું છે.

મીડિયા રિપોર્ટ મુજબ તેમણે ભારતીય સમય અનુસાર રાત્રે લગભગ 10 વાગ્યે વડાપ્રધાન પદેથી રાજીનામું આપ્યું.

આ સાથે તેમણે લિબરલ પાર્ટીના નેતા પદ પરથી પણ રાજીનામું આપી દીધું છે.

હવે તેમનો છેલ્લા નવ વર્ષનો કાર્યકાળ પૂરો થયો છે. ટ્રુડોએ આ પગલું તેમની પાર્ટીમાં તેમની સામે વધી રહેલા અસંતોષ વચ્ચે ઉઠાવ્યું છે.

જો કે, પક્ષના નવા નેતાની પસંદગી ન થાય ત્યાં સુધી તેઓ બંને હોદ્દા પર રહેશે.

મહત્વનું છે કે જસ્ટિન ટ્રુડોના કાર્યકાળ દરમિયાન ભારત અને કેનેડા વચ્ચેના આંતરરાષ્ટ્રીય સંબંધો વણસેલા હતા.
