મીડિયા રિપોર્ટ મુજબ આ બે આત્મઘાતી હુમલાખોરોએ છાવણીની દિવાલ તોડવા માટે બોમ્બ વિસ્ફોટ કર્યા હતા. જેનાથી અન્ય હુમલાખોરોને કમ્પાઉન્ડ પર હુમલો કરવાની તક મળી હતી.

સુરક્ષા દળો અને હુમલાખોરો વચ્ચે થયેલી અથડામણમાં ઓછામાં ઓછા નવ લોકો માર્યા ગયા અને 25 ઘાયલ થયા.

રમઝાનના પવિત્ર મહિનામાં ઇફ્તાર પછી આતંકવાદીઓએ સુરક્ષા વ્યવસ્થા તોડી અને અશાંત પ્રાંતમાં બન્નુ છાવણીને નિશાન બનાવી.
