PM Modi Xi Jinping: પ્રધાનમંત્રી નરેન્દ્ર મોદીએ 23 ઓક્ટોબર 2024ના રોજ કઝાન ખાતે 16મી બ્રિક્સ સમિટ દરમિયાન પીપલ્સ રિપબ્લિક ઓફ ચાઈનાના રાષ્ટ્રપતિ શી જિનપિંગ ( Xi Jinping ) સાથે મુલાકાત કરી હતી.
ભારત-ચીન સરહદી વિસ્તારોમાં ( India-China Border Issues ) 2020માં ઊભી થયેલી સમસ્યાઓના સંપૂર્ણ છૂટાછેડા અને નિરાકરણ માટેના તાજેતરના કરારને આવકારતા, પ્રધાનમંત્રી મોદીએ મતભેદો અને વિવાદોને યોગ્ય રીતે સંચાલિત કરવાના મહત્વ પર ભાર મૂક્યો અને તેમને શાંતિ અને સુલેહ-શાંતિને ખલેલ પહોંચાડવા દેવાની મંજૂરી આપી નહીં. બંને નેતાઓ એ વાત પર સહમત થયા કે ભારત-ચીન સીમા પ્રશ્ન પર વિશેષ પ્રતિનિધિઓ સરહદી વિસ્તારોમાં શાંતિ અને સુલેહ-શાંતિના સંચાલનની દેખરેખ કરવા અને સીમા પ્રશ્નના ન્યાયી, વ્યાજબી અને પરસ્પર સ્વીકાર્ય ઉકેલની શોધ કરવા માટે વહેલી તારીખે બેઠક કરશે. વિદેશ મંત્રીઓ અને અન્ય અધિકારીઓના સ્તરે સંબંધિત સંવાદ પદ્ધતિઓનો પણ દ્વિપક્ષીય સંબંધોને ( BRICS Summit ) સ્થિર કરવા અને પુનઃનિર્માણ કરવા માટે ઉપયોગ કરવામાં આવશે.
