આ વર્ષે જ દીપા કર્માકર એશિયન ચેમ્પિયનશિપ જીતનારી પ્રથમ ભારતીય જિમ્નાસ્ટ બની હતી.

તમને જણાવી દઈએ કે, રિયો ઓલિમ્પિકમાં ચોથા સ્થાને રહેલી દીપાએ 2014 કોમનવેલ્થ ગેમ્સમાં જિમ્નાસ્ટિક્સમાં બ્રોન્ઝ મેડલ જીત્યો હતો.

કોમનવેલ્થ ગેમ્સમાં આવું કરનારી તે પ્રથમ ભારતીય પણ બની હતી.
