બિજાપુરમાં રવિવારે સુરક્ષા દળો સાથેની અથડામણમાં 11 મહિલા સહિત 31 નક્સલીઓ માર્યા ગયા છે જ્યારે બે જવાન શહીદ થઈ ગયા હતા

ઈન્દ્રાવતી રાષ્ટ્રીય ઉદ્યાન ક્ષેત્રના જંગલમાં મોટી સંખ્યામાં નક્સલીઓ છુપાયા હોવાની બાતમી મળી હતી, જેન પગલે ડિસ્ટ્રિક્ટ રિઝર્વ ગાર્ડ (ડીઆરજી), સ્પેશિયલ ટાસ્ક ફોર્સ (એસટીએફ) અને બસ્ટર ફાઈટર્સ તેમજ રાજ્ય પોલીસ સહિતના સુરક્ષાદળોની ટીમે સંયુક્તપણે તાત્કાલિક કાર્યવાહી કરી

અથડામણ પછી સુરક્ષા દળોએ ઘટનાસ્થળેથી જંગી પ્રમાણમાં હથિયારો અને વિસ્ફોટકો જપ્ત કર્યા

ભાજપ સરકારમાં અત્યાર સુધીમાં ૨૬૮ નક્સલીઓ માર્યા ગયા છે જ્યારે ૭૫૦થી વધુએ આત્મસમર્પણ કરી દીધું છે.
