શરદ જૂથના નેતા માણિકરાવ સોનવલકર ભાજપના પ્રદેશ અધ્યક્ષ ચંદ્રશેખર બાવનકુલેની હાજરીમાં પાર્ટીમાં જોડાયા છે.

કહેવામાં આવી રહ્યું છે કે સોનવલકર હજારો કાર્યકર્તાઓ સાથે ભાજપમાં જોડાયા છે.

સોનવલકરને સાતારામાં શરદ જૂથના દિગ્ગજ નેતા માનવામાં આવતા હતા, આવી સ્થિતિમાં, તેમના પક્ષ છોડ્યા પછી, એનસીપીને આગામી ચૂંટણીમાં સંઘર્ષ કરવો પડી શકે છે.
