કોંગ્રેસે વિધાનસત્રા સત્ર શરૂ થવાની સાથે બિરેન સિંહ વિરુદ્ધ અવિશ્વાસની દરખાસ્ત લાવવાની તૈયારી કરી હતી. બીજીબાજુ પક્ષની અંદર પણ તેમના વિરુદ્ધ અસંતોષ વધી રહ્યો હતો.
