સોમવારે, સુરક્ષા દળોએ જીરીબામ જિલ્લામાં કુકી આતંકવાદીઓ સામે મોટી સફળતા હાંસલ કરી હતી.

બોરોબેકરા સબડિવિઝન જીરીબામના જાકુરાધોર કરોંગમાં સુરક્ષા દળોએ 10 આતંકવાદીઓને ઠાર કર્યા છે.

સાથે જ આ ઓપરેશનમાં CRPFનો એક જવાન ઘાયલ થયો હતો.

આતંકવાદીઓની હત્યા બાદ કુકી-જો કાઉન્સિલે 12 નવેમ્બરે બંધનું એલાન કર્યું છે.

અફવાઓને કાબૂમાં લેવા અને કાયદો અને વ્યવસ્થા જાળવવા વહીવટીતંત્રે તાત્કાલિક અસરથી જીરીબામ જિલ્લામાં અનિશ્ચિત સમય માટે કર્ફ્યુ લાદી દીધો છે.
