- કેરળ ( Kerala )ના વાયનાડ ( wayanad ) જિલ્લામાં ભારે વરસાદ ( Heavy rain ) બાદ ભૂસ્ખલન થયું છે.
- આ દુર્ઘટના આજે (30 જુલાઈ) વહેલી સવારે વાયનાડ જિલ્લાના મેપ્પડી, મુંડક્કાઈ ટાઉન અને ચુરલ માલામાં થઈ હતી.
- સ્થાનિક મીડિયાના અહેવાલો અનુસાર ભૂસ્ખલનને કારણે 8 લોકોના મોતના અહેવાલ છે જ્યારે 100થી વધુ લોકો દટાયાની આશંકા છે.
- જોકે, જિલ્લા પ્રશાસને એક બાળક સહિત ચાર લોકોના મોત થયા હોવાની પુષ્ટિ કરી છે.
- હાલ રાહત અને બચાવ કામગીરી ચાલુ છે અને ફાયર વિભાગ અને સ્થાનિક તંત્ર દ્વારા મોટા પાયે રેસ્ક્યુ ઓપરેશન હાથ ધરવામાં આવ્યું છે.
