બંનેએ લવ મેરેજ કર્યા હતા. પતિનો આરોપ છે કે લગ્ન છતાં પત્નીનું એક્સ્ટ્રા મેરિટલ અફેર ( Extramarital affair ) હતું. જ્યારે પતિ વિરોધ કરે તો તે માર મારતી હતી. આથી પતિએ રૂમમાં સીસીટીવી ( CCTV camera ) લગાવી દીધા હતા, જેથી તેના પર થયેલા અત્યાચારનો પર્દાફાશ થઈ શકે.
