Goa Temple Stampede :

ગોવાના શિરગાંવમાં આયોજિત શ્રી લૈરાઈ ‘જાત્રા’ દરમિયાન શુક્રવારે રાત્રે એક દુ:ખદ અકસ્માત થયો.

અહીંના લરાઈ મંદિરમાં ભાગદોડમાં 7 લોકોના મોત થયા હતા, જ્યારે 30 થી વધુ લોકો ગંભીર રીતે ઘાયલ થયા.

ઘાયલોને હોસ્પિટલમાં દાખલ કરવામાં આવ્યા છે. આ અકસ્માત ત્યારે થયો જ્યારે અચાનક મોટી ભીડમાં ગભરાટ ફેલાઈ ગયો, જેના કારણે લોકો પોતાનો જીવ બચાવવા માટે અહીં-ત્યાં દોડવા લાગ્યા.

ઘટનાની માહિતી મળતા જ પોલીસ અને કટોકટી સેવાઓ ઘટનાસ્થળે પહોંચી ગઈ અને તાત્કાલિક રાહત અને બચાવ કામગીરી શરૂ કરવામાં આવી.

અધિકારીઓએ હજુ સુધી નાસભાગ પાછળના કારણની સત્તાવાર પુષ્ટિ કરી નથી પરંતુ પ્રારંભિક અહેવાલો સૂચવે છે કે ભીડભાડ અને યોગ્ય વ્યવસ્થાના અભાવે આ અકસ્માત થયો હતો.
