આજીવન કેદની સજા ભોગવી રહેલા આસારામને સુપ્રીમ કોર્ટે મોટી રાહત આપી છે.

સુપ્રીમ કોર્ટે તબીબી આધાર પર આસારામને 15 માર્ચ સુધી વચગાળાના જામીન આપ્યા છે.

સાથે જ કોર્ટે આસારામને વચગાળાના જામીન આપતા સમયે કેટલીક શરતો મૂકી છે.

આસારામને જોધપુર સેન્ટ્રલ જેલમાંથી ભગત કી કોઠીના હેલ્થ કેર સેન્ટરમાં દાખલ કરવામાં આવ્યા છે જ્યાં તેમની સારવાર ચાલી રહી છે.

જણાવી દઇએ કે, વર્ષ 2023માં સેશન્સ કોર્ટે આસારામને 2013ના દુષ્કર્મ કેસમાં દોષિત ઠેરવ્યા હતા. ગુના સમયે ગાંધીનગર પાસેના તેમના આશ્રમમાં રહેતી મહિલાએ કેસ દાખલ કર્યો હતો.
