મીડિયા રિપોર્ટ મુજબ લલિત મોદીને વનુઆતની નાગરિકતા મળી ગઈ છે.

એટલે કે હવે ભારત સરકારને લલિત મોદીને પરત લાવવામાં વધુ મુશ્કેલીઓનો સામનો કરવો પડશે

કારણ કે દેશની નાગરિકતા મળવાનો દાવો કરવામાં આવ્યો છે, તે એક ખૂબ જ નાનકડો દેશ છે, જે પ્રશાંત મહાસાગરના એક દ્વીપમાં ફેલાયેલો છે અને પ્રત્યાર્પણ સંધિના મામલે આ દેશ પહેલાંથી જ કુખ્યાત છે.

મહત્વનું છે કે લલિત મોદી મની લોન્ડ્રિંગ અને વિદેશી મુદ્રા કાયદાનું ઉલ્લંઘન કરવાને લઈને ભારતનો આરોપી છે. ભારતીય એજન્સીઓથી બચવા માટે તે 2010માં જ ભારત છોડીને ભાગી ગયો હતો.
