The Bads of Bollywood: નેટફ્લિક્સ પર 18 સપ્ટેમ્બરથી સ્ટ્રીમ થતી વેબ સિરીઝ ‘ધ બેડસ ઓફ બોલિવૂડ’માં રણબીર કપૂર ના એક સીનમાં તેને ઈ-સિગરેટ પીતા બતાવવામાં આવ્યો છે. આ દૃશ્ય પર વિવાદ ઊભો થયો છે. National Human Rights Commission (NHRC)એ માહિતી અને પ્રસારણ મંત્રાલય તથા મુંબઈ પોલીસ કમિશનરને નોટિસ આપી છે અને રણબીર સહિત શોના નિર્માતાઓ અને નેટફ્લિક્સ સામે FIR નોંધવાની માંગ કરી છે

શું છે NHRCની દલીલ?
NHRCના સભ્ય એ જણાવ્યું કે ભારતમાં ઈ-સિગરેટના ઉત્પાદન, વેચાણ અને જાહેરાત પર 2019થી પ્રતિબંધ છે. રણબીર કપૂરનો દૃશ્ય કોઈ પણ ચેતવણી કે ડિસ્ક્લેમર વગર બતાવવામાં આવ્યો છે, જે યુવાનોને પ્રભાવિત કરી શકે છે. આ દૃશ્યથી તંદુરસ્તી અને કાયદાની અવગણના થાય છે.NHRCએ માહિતી અને પ્રસારણ મંત્રાલય અને મુંબઈ પોલીસને Action Taken Report (ATR) રજૂ કરવા કહ્યું છે. આ કેસ OTT પ્લેટફોર્મ્સ પર કન્ટેન્ટની જવાબદારી અને કાયદાકીય પાલન અંગે નવી ચર્ચા ઊભી કરે છે. અગાઉ પણ આવા વિવાદો OTT કન્ટેન્ટ સામે ઊભા થયા છે.
