New Zealand Earthquake: ન્યુઝીલેન્ડમાં વહેલી સવાર ના આવ્યો ભયંકર ભૂકંપ, 7ની તીવ્રતાથી ધરા ધણ ધણી ઉઠી

New Zealand Earthquake: 

• ન્યુઝીલેન્ડના રિવર્ટન તટ પર આજે સવારે 6.8ની તીવ્રતાનો ભૂકંપનો આંચકો અનુભવાયો છે. 

• યુનાઇટેડ સ્ટેટ્સ જીઓલોજિકલ સર્વે (USGS) અનુસાર  ભૂકંપનું કેન્દ્રબિંદુ જમીનમાં 33 કિમી નીચે હતું. 

• જોકે રાહતની વાત છે કે શક્તિશાળી ધરતીકંપ છતાં હજુ સુધી જાનહાનિના કોઈ અહેવાલ નથી.

• અહીં મોટા ભાગના વિસ્તારોમાં ભૂકંપ સાંખી શકે તેવી ઈમારતોનું નિર્માણ કરાયું છે. જોકે ભૂકંપના કારણે ત્સુનામીની શક્યતાને લઈને ચિંતા વધી છે. સ્થાનિક એજન્સીઓ આ અંગે સમીક્ષા કરી રહી છે.

• મહત્વનું છે કે ભૌગોલિક દ્રષ્ટિએ પણ ન્યુઝીલેન્ડ ધરતીકંપ માટે દુનિયાના સૌથી સંવેદનશીલ વિસ્તારોમાંથી એક છે..
