વિનેશે આજે જ તેની પ્રી-ક્વાર્ટર ફાઈનલ અને ક્વાર્ટર ફાઈનલ મેચ રમી અને કેટલું શાનદાર પ્રદર્શન કર્યું. તેણીએ તેની પ્રથમ મેચમાં ટોક્યો ઓલિમ્પિક્સની સુવર્ણ ચંદ્રક વિજેતા અને વિશ્વની નંબર વનને હરાવ્યા, પછી બીજી મેચમાં તકનીકી શ્રેષ્ઠતા દ્વારા જીતીને આવી રહેલા કુસ્તીબાજને હરાવ્યા. આ રીતે વિનેશે છેલ્લા ચારમાં જગ્યા બનાવી હતી.
