સરકારે આંદામાન અને નિકોબાર ટાપુઓની રાજધાની પોર્ટ બ્લેયરનું નામ બદલી નાખ્યું છે.

ખુદ ગૃહમંત્રી અમિત શાહે આ જાણકારી આપી છે.

તેમણે એક પોસ્ટમાં કહ્યું છે કે અમે પોર્ટ બ્લેયરનું નામ બદલીને ‘શ્રી વિજયપુરમ’ કરવાનો નિર્ણય લીધો છે.
Inspired by the vision of PM @narendramodi Ji, to free the nation from the colonial imprints, today we have decided to rename Port Blair as “Sri Vijaya Puram.”
