અમેરિકાના કેલિફોર્નિયાના ફર્ન્ડેલ શહેરમાં ગઈકાલે રાત્રે જોરદાર ભૂકંપ આવ્યો હતો.
આ ભૂકંપના આંચકા ઓરેગોન, યુરેકા અને સાન ફ્રાન્સિસ્કો સુધી અનુભવાયા હતા.
રિક્ટર સ્કેલ પર ભૂકંપની તીવ્રતા 7ની આસપાસ માપવામાં આવી હતી.
યુએસ વેધર સર્વિસે ભૂકંપ બાદ તરત જ સુનામીની ચેતવણી જારી કરી હતી. જોકે, 1 કલાક બાદ એલર્ટ રદ કરવામાં આવ્યું હતું.
ભૂકંપનો એવો આંચકો અનુભવાયો કે ઈમારતો ધ્રૂજી ઊઠી. લોકોના ઘરના દરવાજા અને બારી ખડકવા લાગ્યા. મકાનો અને રસ્તાઓની દિવાલોમાં તિરાડો પડી હતી.
